So although it has felt like winter for quite some time, today it is official! Happy wintertime, friends! A new season means new seasonal shoes to share!
This winter, my shoes are two of my favorites, that you’ve probably already seen several times because I couldn’t wait until the first day of winter to wear them.
Over-the-knee boots have been quite a trend lately, and I have loved every bit of it. I found these really chic olive green OTK boots on sale during Black Friday and I couldn’t resist. They’re the perfect color because although the green can be used as a statement, it can also be worn as a neutral, since it pairs well with almost every color. My favorite way to wear these boots is with leggings and a loose sweater paired with a hat. This outfit is beyond comfortable, but it looks so put together, so obviously it’s my go-to. OTK boots

Anyone that knows me well would know my ‘slight’ obsession with shoes. Whenever I walk into a store, the first place I go is the shoe section, and then I end up buying more shoes than I could ever need.
I figured as a way to share my love of shoes, I’d do a post on the first day in a new season on what shoes I plan to rock that season. So since today is the first day of fall, it is the perfect way to kick off this plan. Fall is my favorite season because the weather is just starting to cool off, but it is not to the point of five layers and ski jackets (at least where I live).
I got both of these shoes at the end of this summer and I couldn’t wait to feature them. They incorporate so many of the trends I’m loving right now: espadrille, slide on flats, platform tennis shoes, and blush pink. Continue reading “seasonal shoes // fall”
I definitely have a thing for perfume, and my collection has become quite large. There are a few scents that I have acquired that are absolutely perfect for summer, and I figured this is the perfect time to share them.
Viva La Juicy: This perfume has a fruity, fun scent that screams summer. I have been wearing this perfume for years and get compliments on how it smells all the time.
Daisy: This scent by Marc Jacobs is much more mature than the Juicy one, but it will seriously make you want to frolic through a field because of the fresh, floral scent. Continue reading “summer scents”
Is there anyone out there that uses a portion of a product and then lets the rest sit there unused for too long until you finally realize it is time to get rid of it? Guilty… I do this far too often. However, I do have a few products that I just can’t get enough of and use every last drop.
#1 Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara. I absolutely love this mascara. I have the large size as well as the travel size, so I can take it with me on trips as well as use it daily. I love the volume and length it adds to my lashes, and I especially love how dark it makes my lashes appear. I am so glad I came across this mascara because I became totally addicted!
#2 Philosophy Hands of Hope hand cream. Especially in the dry heat where I live, my hands get quite dry, so good hand cream is a must for me. I actually keep this lotion right next to my bed and apply it before I go to sleep. It is so soothing, but not too oily or thick, so it feels great on my hands.
#3 Burt’s Bees Chapstick. This stuff is a miracle worker. Am I the only one out there that sometimes feels like chapstick ends up drying out my lips even more than they were before applying chapstick?? There are very few chapsticks I think actually work but this is my absolute favorite.
